Growing up in a family involved in generations of agriculture has profoundly impacted Corissa’s winemaking career. The natural beauty and complexity of the farmland surrounding her throughout her upbringing influenced her passion for wine, allowing her to recognize intrinsic connections between wine, the land, and the natural environment. Corissa believes in creating exceptional wines while preserving the land for future generations.
After attending Saint Joseph’s College in Indiana, Corissa pursued her love of wine, working and studying for two years in the London wine trade. While in Europe, she achieved the WSET Diploma and won the prestigious Paten Prize as one of the top students in the world. This experience allowed her to gain valuable insights into the global wine industry and work with some of the most renowned professionals in the field. Corissa is currently a Stage 1 Master of Wine student, further expanding her knowledge and expertise in the wine industry.
Prior to joining Odette, Corissa worked alongside some of the most renowned winemakers in the industry, including Thomas Rivers Brown, Philippe Melka, Graeme MacDonald, and Angelina Mondavi. In addition, Corissa has also worked in Santa Rita Hills, Sonoma, and South Africa, underscoring her love for crafting exceptional wines that truly reflect the unique terroirs of Napa Valley.
